"No more lives torn apart,
That wars would never start,
And time would heal the heart.
And everyone would have a friend,
And right would always win,
And love would never end...(oooh ooh)
This is my grown up Christmas list"
- My Grown Up Christmas List
(Did you know that used to be my brother's favorite Christmas song? SHH!! Don't tell him I told you so, because it's kind of embarrassing.. he would sing NONSTOP to it- and not even the Micheal Buble version, oh no. The Kelly Clarkson one. Yeah.)
Well, even though I DO wish for those things (no more wars, love, friends), I can be a child sometimes. And if grown up lists consist of "righteous" wishes, then it only makes sense that child lists consist of "vain, materialistic" wishes...
I hate to say it. But I can be a child sometimes.
1. The Perfect Burger Tee
I think this shirt from dressingOnTheSide's etsy shop is absolutely adorable. I would order it in a small, and wear it to those late night In-N-Out trysts with my friends. It would be awesome.
2. "Lip Bliss" Lip gloss
Now this one is just a ridiculous want. But a very beautiful ridiculous want, let me tell you. And seriously? If I were in a bargaining mood, I would tell you all about how these were made by three virtuous mothers "who believe beauty starts from within. We want to remind women of the simple and virtuous things in life." I especially love the WISDOM, SIMPLICITY, and DEVOTION colors.. and also how they reflect good virtues, and not bad messages that are shown on beauty supplies these days.
3. Modcloth Dresses
Seriously. Why have I just started looking at Modcloth recently? Because their clothes are gorgeous- and totally in vintage styles- if you know me, that's a plus.
Some of my favorites are:
The "Soda Fountain Dress in Grape" (Medium) - because it's a 50's inspired style, and really flattering to any body size with a fitted top, and flared skirt. SO cute.
The "Impressionists Wing Dress" (Small) - I love the lace detail at the top, as well as the "faux-sweetheart" neckline. The fact that there are pockets- SELLS it. :D
The "Bouquet Bonanza Dress" (Small) - This is a simple but cute dress that really makes me think of... old movies. I would name some, but I'd probably be way off the time period, and then people would laugh at me. So- oldness.
So there's my "Childish Christmas List".
What gifts are you hoping for this holiday season?
And time would heal the heart.
And everyone would have a friend,
And right would always win,
And love would never end...(oooh ooh)
