I know some people turn up their noses at the thought of thrifting, and I understand- I mean, hey, it is used clothing. But there's something amazingly fun about going to Goodwill with a group of friends, sifting through all the racks of goofy things and finding something good.
And that, my friends, is what we call "Goodwill Gold".
Where else can you find and catwalk in a wedding dress that's only $30?
Where else can you find a vest that makes you look like a Shark-wannabe?(a West Side Story reference, for those of you musical newbies out there)
Where else can you find a skimpy little black skirt-overalls thingy that you would never wear unless you were posing with your friends? And of COURSE you wouldn't buy it, but it's just so darn hilarious??And believe it or not, that's just the stuff we DIDN'T buy.

I totally did this exact thing in High School. We went to Savers and would dress up in the amazing things that we found. Then we all bought an awesome outfit. I totally had mine until last year. It was a bright orange 60s dress.

That's so fun. My husband would cry if he knew how much I actually thrifted, (he's metro to the max) but it's just so fun! Goodwill saved my life in college!

We made my sister's boyfriend into Spock from Star Trek with Goodwill and some mascara (oh yeah, pointy eyebrows)
