Gettin' in the Swing of Things!

This post is a little late in coming considering that the actual event was last-last Friday night... but hey, I've been gone on a mission trip this entire week!
More to come about that in a bit, but I'll try and get things down chronologically here so I don't come back to visit in 20 years and forget the order in which things happened in my oh-so-eventful life.

Blue Pearl.
It's essentially a swing dance that my school holds once a year, and is (in theory) my favorite dance because it's the only one that I'll actually dance at. This year is also the first time I've been able to go out of the two years that the school has done it, and since it's my senior year, I was going to make it amazing.

Emily and I went together with our prospective dates (Of whom there are not that many pictures... but Emily's was Darian. Whoot! Mine was a friend from my Jazz class- I figured he'd know how to appreciate the swing music!) and we enjoyed some classy food served by our school's Gov Team.

Our awesomely matching character shoes- all the better for dancing in!
I had the nude, she had the black.

And an INCREDIBLY blurry picture (though I'm still grateful to Emily's iPhone) of our swing dancing prowess. Note the popped feet.

Of course, our professional photo.
Eugene (Like Tangled. YES.), me, Emily, and Darian.
There is just so much hidden in this picture it's hilarious, but my favorites- Emily's hand just peeking out on my back, and her elbow stuck in Darian's suspenders. Classic.

We were GOING to get some awesome Photobooth strips at our local mall, but the darn things were closed due to malfunctions. So we took our own.
Can I ask- what is Darian doing?

And seriously- nothing like a little wind in your hair while driving those attractive kiddie convertibles. I want to thank whoever invented them- 50 cents for the ride of the lifetime?
So worth it.

And, what happens whenever I put make-up on, some shameless Myspace posing.
I am only slightly embarrassed.

Oh, what a night!
